On Thursday, May 26, team members at B&B Electrical and Utility Contractors gathered for the opening and dedication of the new training facilities on the B&B campus in Canton, MS.
The training facilities were named the Jeremy Toole Memorial Training Yard, dedicated to the B&B family member, Jeremy Toole, who died in a work-related accident in 1998. Jeremy’s father, Eddie Toole, is currently a Safety Coach and valuable team member of B&B. Eddie and other members of the Toole family were present for the dedication of the training yard.
“This is an important and memorable day for B&B. The completion of a state-of-the-art training yard and facilities has been a milestone for our company. Quality skills training is a fundamental part of ensuring we can work safely and prepare our employees for the many hazards they may encounter on a daily basis. This investment in our team members is another step in our continual growth and will put us on a firm foundation for the future.”
Austin Blakeney, President of B&B
The B&B training facilities include an outdoor training yard and training classroom with remote training capabilities. The outdoor training yard consists of a substation transformer and steel, overhead distribution lines, underground distribution lines and cabinets, a low line for hands-on instructor training, and street light training facilities.
Safety continues to be our highest company priority. These training facilities will teach the skills to get the job done right without sacrificing the safety of those around us and further our goal of providing our employees with the best work environment possible.
